Name: Jodie Lavigne

Position/title: Junior Graphic Designer

What do you enjoy most about working at Fuzion?

I love that I am able to learn something new every day, which is expanding my knowledge and skills in graphic design.

Before working at Fuzion, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I had a summer internship with Waterfire Providence in their graphics department. This internship not only included working on graphic design projects but also working Waterfire events every Saturday of the summer. I was able to see my design work come to life and meet some pretty interesting people from around the country and world.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I would be a flight attendant for a day. I love traveling and it’s a job that could take you anywhere in the world.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My biggest achievement to date would be graduating college. Getting to see all of my hard work in school pay off was amazing.

What is the one thing you can’t live without?

I can’t live without dessert. It makes every day sweeter.

What’s your most memorable facepalm moment?

Going into an internship interview, being so nervous and meeting one of the employees at the company who said, “nice of you to be here today” and me responding “nice of you to be here too” instead of just a simple thank you.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

Last weekend – watching my younger sister try to wake board. Seeing her struggle to get up and stay up while squatting, screaming and laughing all at the same time. It was hilarious.

What do you do when you’re not at work? Tell us about any activities or hobbies you enjoy.

I enjoy waterskiing, snow skiing, swimming, paddle boarding, playing soccer and other outdoor activities as well as traveling.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I would be a black and white striped crayon. I love pattern, especially stripes and the contrast of black and white is appealing to my eye.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“just keep swimming” – Dory: Finding Nemo. I try to always move forward, not let the small things stress me out and learn something every step of the way.
