What do you enjoy most about working at Fuzion?

Watching a brand that didn’t exist come to life, and working with my talented design team.

Before working at Fuzion, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I worked at an orchard when I was in college. When we were in between jobs or things were slow, we had to thin peaches. What is thinning peaches you ask? Picture acres of peach trees. Some seasons the trees are very heavy with blossoms, each blossom forming a peach. In fact, too many peaches per tree, if left nature to it, you would end up with tons of peaches but they would all be the size of golf balls. We had to knock off the baby peaches (the size of peach pits) with our hands so they were a fist length between each peach. This assured less but bigger more saleable peaches. Sounds boring? Bet your ass. As an added bonus, the fuzz from the peaches was extremely itchy. Ah, life on the farm!

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I always thought it would be awesome to be a set designer for the movie business. Picture designing and building the sets for the Poseidon Adventure, exciting!

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My two fantastic kids, Chelsea & Tyler.

What is the one thing you can’t live without?

A nice glass or two of cabernet at the end of the day.

What’s your most memorable facepalm moment?

I remember making a conscious decision to never work on my car again. Changing the thermostat in my 71 Duster, which should have taken about 15 minutes, resulted in 3 trips to the auto parts store, which was a half hour drive and consumed most of a Saturday. Now the most technical thing I will tackle is to fill the windshield wiper fluid reservoir.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

There have been so many, usually when Esther say’s something innocently that can be taken the wrong way. I’ll leave it at that.

What do you do when you’re not at work? Tell us about any activities or hobbies you enjoy.

I have gotten back into oil painting in the last few years. I enjoy it and it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Recently, someone actually offered to buy one!

You’re a new addition to the crayon box.

What color would you be and why? Mellow Yellow… it just sounds right.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

It’s not about thinking outside the box; it’s about the box.
