CONTOURS LINE
In collaboration with Kolcraft, a leader in juvenile industry, Fuzion partnered with the client to design a line of innovative, euro inspired juvenile products for their Contours brand as a new entry in the juvenile product category. Our first product, the 3-Stage “Twist Grow-With-Me Booster Seat” was born, it grows with your child from infant floor seat to a big kid booster seat – with just a twist!
CONCEPT EXPLORATION
Defining the competitive features from the retail set and utilizing “Design Thinking” and form follows function methodology, Fuzion created a fresh new “decidedly euro" look that includes all the features consumers want and expect.
CONCEPT DEFINITION
Fully defined layout drawings ensure that overall dimensions, ergonomics, features and details were taken into consideration before moving into CAD development. Accurate Bill of Materials was created early on in the design process. The BOM, treated as a living document, was continuously updated to reduce the likely hood of surprises down the line.
CAD DEVELOPMENT
Fuzion generated comprehensive CAD to validate the design with the end goal of building a fully functional looks like/works like model to present to buyers and introduce the line at trade shows.
FINAL PRODUCT & PACKAGING CONCEPT
In addition to the Contours Twist Grow-With-Me Booster Seat, Fuzion also designed the Bravo 3-in-1 Potty, which is the winner of the 2016 National Parenting Product Award. The Fuzion visual identity team collaboratively developed a contemporary, complimentary packaging design that showcased the euro flavor and features of the new Contours Line.
