Name: Amy Towne

Position/title: Graphic Designer

What do you enjoy most about working at Fuzion?

I love working with so many talented people. I love being able to bounce ideas off of them, get feedback, and learn from them.

Before working at Fuzion, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a school portrait photographer back in the day. If you ever needed a comb, I always had a huge box of them in the trunk of my car.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Cat massage therapist

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

I went on a 5,000-mile motorcycle trip with my dad around the western half of the United States.

What is the one thing you can’t live without?

Cats

What’s your most memorable facepalm moment?

When I tripped and fell in the parking lot at work (for the 3rd time). It certainly was embarrassing, but more importantly, I spilled my iced coffee that I hadn’t even had a sip of yet.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

It was probably when I discovered how to use the snapchat scissor tool and sent 100 versions of myself brushing my teeth in weird positions to my coworker Emily. Stupid but hilarious.

What do you do when you’re not at work? Tell us about any activities or hobbies you enjoy.

I like to pretend that I live in the late 1800’s and run a letterpress shop out of my house. I design and print invitations and greeting cards using 100+ year old presses. My collection has grown to 7 presses and 100 cases of type.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Hmmm, it would have to be something purple. A bright and obnoxious purple though. All of its awesomeness couldn’t be contained in a regular sized crayon, it would have to be a jumbo crayon. Let’s call it Amy-thyst (only available in the jumbo pack).

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“It just doesn’t matter.” I know a lot of people find it unsettling, but when I’m stressed out, I find comfort in knowing that I’m just a speck of dust in the universe and that all my little problems mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.
